With the rapid proliferation of larger-aperture, low f-ratio Newtonian telescopes with 2" focusers and larger diagonal mirrors, the availability of precision 2" Sight Tubes is long overdue. Additionally, these novel "telescoping" collimation tools will allow the discriminating, performance-minded amateur to custom adjust the sight tube length for optimum Secondary centering under the Newtonian focuser to symmetrically capture the Primary light cone for maximum illumination and contrast.
With Newtonian f-ratio's racheting down under f/4.0 and the with the extra large "oversized" Secondary mirrors now found in imaging astrographs, we are pleased to announce the intoduction of the faster "XLS" little brother to the "XL". This shorter version provides an f-ratio range of f/3.0 to f/5.0 and facilitates "seeing" the Secondary in really fast scopes while maintaining flush shoulder contact with the focuser drawtube lip.
